Hi Byron,

Thank you for your comments. Most people believe, as do I, that we are hard wired with certain temperaments. That said, we also learn to develop certain personality traits over time. Many introverts do express the types of feelings you describe here. Depression is something that can be treated and is nothing to be ashamed of...I would recommend outside help to explore potential treatments. I appreciate you reaching out...

Dear Dr. Kahnweiler, Ph.D.

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Byron Burke, CEO and founder of BB Media Global Group based out of West New York, NJ.

I would like to start by saying that I was just sitting down at my computer and I decided to do a little research around the subject of introverts. I came across an article that you wrote on Forbes.com entitled “Why Introverts Can Make The Best Leaders” that brought some clarity about myself as well as tears flowing down my face.

I'm curious to know if being an Introvert or Extrovert is something that is learned over a period of time or encoded in the individuals DNA? In addition, what would you recommend and Introvert that suffered from depression and issues with the fear of being accepted by people?

I look forward to hearing from you soon,

Warmest regards,

Byron Burke
